Anthropic has reportedly signed a six-year, $35 billion cloud-computing agreement with Lambda, a U.S. cloud provider backed by Nvidia. The deal is designed to provide Anthropic with additional Nvidia-powered computing capacity as demand for its Claude AI models and Claude Code continues to grow.
The computing infrastructure will be connected to a large data center in Nueces County, Texas, being developed by Hut 8. Nvidia has leased the facility and will supply the underlying chips, while Lambda will provide cloud services to Anthropic.
The agreement highlights the enormous infrastructure requirements of frontier AI companies. Anthropic has also reportedly committed to a separate $45 billion cloud deal with Nscale for capacity in West Virginia, showing how aggressively the company is securing computing resources.
The latest deal could strengthen Anthropic’s ability to train and deploy increasingly powerful AI systems while benefiting Nvidia through greater demand for its accelerators. However, the $35 billion agreement had been reported by sources, and Anthropic and Nvidia had not officially confirmed all details at the time of reporting.
