U.S. Treasury Secretary: Warsh and I share the same stance on bonds

Mars Finance news, August 31: U.S. Treasury Secretary Bessent said, “Federal Reserve Chair Warsh and I share the same stance on bonds. Since U.S. President Trump took office, the 10-year Treasury yield has remained basically unchanged. I never said that I was trying to change the direction of bonds. (Regarding the U.S. bond market) I don’t think it is possible to change the equilibrium price.”

Bessent's remark is quite interesting—does that amount to admitting he doesn't have much control over the bond market?
