Last night, Michael Saylor posted three words on X: "We're ₿ack," along with a chart of Strategy's holdings. The crypto world went into a frenzy.

What does it mean?

It means Strategy (formerly MicroStrategy) is hinting that it's going to start buying Bitcoin again after a full two-month hiatus. Its last purchase was on June 22. Over the past two months, the company has built up $1.59 billion in cash reserves, just waiting to buy the dip.

Do you know how much Bitcoin this company holds now? 840,447 BTC, with an average cost of $75,000. With BTC currently around 78K, its unrealized gains have finally turned positive.

The backdrop makes it even more interesting: over the weekend, the U.S. military bombed an Iranian rocket launch site in the Strait of Hormuz. Iran immediately retaliated by launching missiles at a U.S. military base in Jordan. Oil prices shot straight up to $85, and global stock futures were all falling.

And what happened?

Bitcoin didn't budge, holding steady at 78,000. It has gained 23% in August, compared with just 9% for gold and 4% for the Nasdaq over the same period. As geopolitical conflict rages, BTC doesn't even bat an eye—and now the world's most famous Bitcoin bull has announced his return.

Do you think this is a coincidence?

I can't help feeling that when "digital gold" starts performing more steadily than gold itself in the midst of war headlines, the story has already changed. bitcoin:native

PAXG-0.83%

Previously, whenever war broke out, crypto would kneel first; now, whenever war breaks out, BTC plays dead—and playing dead has produced an independent market trend.

Saylor can send the crypto world into a frenzy with three words; his influence is more potent than a Fed speech.

MicroStrategy has been renamed Strategy, and now it seems to have written “all in BTC” into its corporate charter.

Average cost: 75K; now at 78K, and he’s already calling for a pullback as soon as the unrealized profit turned positive—quite calculating.

With this August rally, geopolitical turmoil has become a bullish factor—logic I wouldn’t have dared imagine in 2022.

The Nasdaq is only up 4%, while BTC is up 23%; traditional assets have been absolutely crushed by the safe-haven narrative.
