8.31 Consolidation Range: The Risk-Reward Ratio Debate

BTC

Figure 1. The bullish trend has emerged. Daily timeframe. Upper resistance at 8.25. Lower support at 7.4. Over the past week, I have repeatedly emphasized that a pullback and consolidation after this kind of rally is perfectly reasonable. As long as the vacuum zone below 7.4 is not broken, I personally do not believe this bullish move is over.

Figure 2. Now that the upper and lower resistance levels have been identified, and it is known that the larger timeframe is in high-level consolidation, return to the lower timeframe. Within the broader range, identify the support and resistance levels where price reactions have already occurred (the prices marked in green on the chart). All that remains is to wait for price to reach these levels and trade with a stop-loss offering a reasonable risk-reward ratio~

In summary, until price breaks out of the consolidation range between the upper and lower daily levels, just trade each time with the same position size and it’s OK!~

The risk-reward ratio is explained very thoroughly; many people simply set their stop-losses too tight and get shaken out.

The term “vacuum zone” is interesting; liquidity gaps can indeed accelerate the move.

Looking for lower-timeframe structure within the daily consolidation range—a classic move.

Holding above 7.4 is still worth watching; if it breaks below, it’s not too late to run.

Could you elaborate on the part about green-label pricing? I want to copy your homework.

Use equal-sized positions every time; say no to going all-in, starting with me.

The moment the “U.S. military strike” label is applied, market volatility goes through the roof.
