🔥 Bitcoin Is Still Controlling the Crypto Market

Bitcoin isn't just moving the market.
It's still owning a huge portion of it.
BTC dominance is currently around 60%, meaning Bitcoin represents roughly 60% of the total crypto market capitalization.
Why does this matter?
Because price alone doesn't tell you where capital is concentrating.
If BTC dominance rises while Bitcoin is strong, capital is usually becoming more defensive or concentrated in the market leader.
If BTC keeps rising but dominance starts falling, that's more interesting.
It can mean capital is beginning to rotate into ETH and other assets.
That's why I watch:
BTC price + BTC dominance + ETH/BTC
Not BTC price alone.
The next major question isn't simply:
“Will Bitcoin go higher?”
It's:
“Will Bitcoin keep absorbing liquidity, or will that liquidity start rotating?”
That answer could determine the next phase of the altcoin market.
What are you watching — BTC dominance or BTC price?

Right now, watching the ETH/BTC exchange rate is more interesting than watching BTC’s price—whether the money is actually flowing or not.

60% dominance means 60% of the money is still in BTC, leaving alts with only the scraps.

I think the signal for the next alt season to begin is dominance falling below 55%.

I used to only watch price; now I’ve learned to look at dominance too. Thanks for the explanation.

After tracking dominance for three years, I found this indicator more accurate than moving averages.

BTC rises and dominance falls—that’s what a healthy bull market looks like. The current structure is a bit stagnant.

“Capital rotation” sounds nice, but in reality it’s just retail investors switching positions and getting fleeced.

Rising dominance indicates the market is still fearful and hasn’t truly entered FOMO.

At the current ETH/BTC level, I’ll start dollar-cost averaging if it falls further.
