Oil prices surged more than 2%, pushing Brent crude back above $90 per barrel after US forces struck Iranian launchers on Larak Island near the Strait of Hormuz.


The strike reportedly marks the first known US attack on Iran since late July, adding fresh geopolitical tension to global energy markets.
