Musk places another big bet! SpaceX to build its own gas turbine component factory👀

SpaceX has chosen Bastrop, Texas, to build a casting facility for gas turbine blades and vanes.
The goal is to break through the production bottleneck for core turbine components.
The casting process will also supply rocket turbopumps, allowing the aerospace projects and AI power-generation facilities to share production costs and reduce overall spending.
Before the factory is completed, the company will rely on partners such as Fortress to secure 3‑4GW of transitional power supply.
The entire project is expected to be completed by 2027.
The large-scale expansion of gas-fired power plants has immediately sparked local controversy related to carbon emissions.
The biggest bottleneck for AI computing expansion is not GPUs, but sufficient and stable power resources.
Musk is extending directly upstream into core components, advancing self-sufficiency across the power supply chain.
Do you think power shortages will become the biggest ceiling for the AI industry?👇 Share your thoughts in the comments!
