#BTC CZ at Hong Kong Conference: BTC May Be More Important Than Gold in the Future; Reaching $1 Million “Doesn’t Need 25 Years”

On August 27, BN founder CZ said at the Bitcoin Asia 2026 conference that the diversified development of the crypto ecosystem will not weaken Bitcoin. The development of blockchains such as Ethereum and BNB Chain will instead help the entire industry expand, while Bitcoin can also absorb innovations from other blockchains. He believes Bitcoin remains the most decentralized reserve asset in the crypto market, and its importance may surpass that of gold in the future. Bitcoin’s market cap is currently still about 10x smaller than gold’s, but this gap may narrow further in a future bull market. He also said that Bitcoin reaching $1 million “doesn’t need 25 years.”

CZ pointed out that Bitcoin still needs to expand its real-world applications in the next phase, including promoting large-scale payments and entering long-term reserve asset allocations such as retirement pensions. As global crypto compliance continues to advance, countries establish crypto asset reserves, issue their own stablecoins, and develop RWA tokenization, these developments could ultimately further expand the crypto market and in turn benefit Bitcoin. $BTC
