Where Is Capital Moving in the Crypto Market?
Price tells us what the market has already done. Capital flows can help reveal where traders may be positioning next. That is why 7-day net inflow data is worth watching when analyzing potential market moves.

What Does Net Inflow Mean?
Net inflow compares the amount of an asset entering an exchange with the amount leaving during a specific period. Positive net inflow means deposits exceed withdrawals, while negative net inflow means withdrawals exceed deposits.
However, high inflows are not automatically bullish. Assets can move onto an exchange for buying, selling, trading, hedging or other portfolio decisions. The most useful signal comes from comparing flow data with price action, volume and market structure.

1. Bitcoin — The Core Market Flow Signal
Bitcoin is one of the most important assets to monitor when analyzing exchange flows. A significant increase in BTC inflows can indicate that traders are preparing for higher activity around important market levels.

If BTC inflows increase while price remains strong, the market may be absorbing the additional liquidity. If inflows rise while BTC loses important support, the same flow could indicate increasing selling pressure.

The key is to watch BTC flow + price + volume together, rather than relying on one metric.
2. Ethereum — Flow Needs Price Confirmation
Ethereum is another major asset where exchange-flow activity can provide insight into market positioning.

Rising ETH inflows may indicate that traders are preparing to trade around important support or resistance levels. But flow data becomes more meaningful when it is confirmed by volume and price structure.

A breakout supported by strong spot volume generally provides stronger confirmation than a move occurring on weak participation.

3. Stablecoins — Liquidity Waiting to Be Deployed
Stablecoins such as USDT and USDC are important because they can represent capital that traders may deploy into other crypto assets.
Increasing stablecoin inflows can indicate that market participants are keeping liquidity available for future opportunities. However, this should not automatically be considered a bullish signal.
The stronger signal appears when stablecoin liquidity increases and spot buying activity also begins to strengthen across BTC, ETH or selected altcoins.

How to Read Net Inflows Correctly
High inflow + rising price: stronger demand and positive momentum may be developing.
High inflow + falling price: possible selling or distribution pressure.

Low/negative inflow + strong price: possible accumulation or reduced exchange supply.
Rising stablecoin inflow + increasing spot demand: potentially stronger buying liquidity.

These are signals, not guarantees. Market conditions can change quickly, so flow data should always be combined with other indicators.
A Better 7-Day Flow Strategy

1. Compare net inflows with price movement.

2. Check whether trading volume confirms the move.

3. Monitor open interest and funding rates.

4. Identify key support and resistance levels.

5. Compare individual-asset flows with the broader market.

6. Look for unusual changes instead of reacting to a single large transaction.

7. Avoid making a trade based on net inflow data alone.
The Bigger Picture
The most important question is not simply:
Which asset has the highest net inflow?”
The better question is:
Why is the capital moving, and what is price doing while that capital moves?”

That distinction can help separate meaningful market signals from ordinary exchange activity.
For the next 7 days, traders should closely monitor changes in BTC, ETH, stablecoin and major-altcoin flows. A sudden shift in these flows, especially when confirmed by volume and price action, could provide an important clue about changing market sentiment.

What do you think will lead the next 7-day net inflow ranking?
BTC, ETH, stablecoins, or an unexpected altcoin?
