$SPCX AI Trade Setup: Can SpaceX Reach $240?

SpaceX is no longer being valued only as a rocket and satellite company. JPMorgan is increasingly focused on its AI opportunity, including Grok and the Cursor acquisition, and maintains an Overweight rating with a $240 price target.

With $SPCX closing around $139.63 on August 26, the $240 target represents roughly 72% upside from the latest close.

My Trade Plan — LONG

Entry Zone: $135 – $140
TP1: $155
TP2: $175
TP3: $200
TP4: $225
Final Target: $240
Stop Loss: $128

The key zone is $135–$140. If buyers continue defending this area and momentum returns, $155 could be the first major breakout level.

Above $175, the setup becomes much stronger, with $200 → $225 → $240 becoming the next upside targets.

The biggest catalyst remains the AI narrative. JPMorgan sees the Cursor deal and improving Grok capabilities as important pieces of SpaceX’s emerging enterprise-AI story.

Risk management matters — $128 is my invalidation level.

Do you think $SPCX can really reach $240?

Is this wave of AI narrative just forcing a tie-in to NVIDIA’s earnings? If SpaceX is really worth 240, it first needs to produce data demonstrating the commercial rollout of Grok and Cursor.

If JPMorgan’s 240 target is backed by an internal model, I agree with the direction; but $SPCX itself has limited liquidity, so the planned stop-loss at 128 must be strictly enforced and position size controlled—otherwise, no matter how high the target price is, it won’t matter to you.

I’d rather wait for it to stabilize around 138 before buying back in; if it drops below 128, I’m out. I’ll look at 155 first, then 175.

The plan is clear, but don’t take on too large a position. Assets like this are highly volatile, so stop-losses must be enforced.

240? Let’s first hold 175 before talking about that.

A 72% upside looks appealing, but can the AI narrative really support the valuation?
