The Korean won is rising so sharply that even a rate hike can’t stop it, right?

Even two rate hikes have failed to suppress inflation expectations, suggesting that domestic demand or imported factors are highly persistent; the Korean won’s appreciation is actually a double-edged sword, and export companies are in for a tough time. Whether 3.3% growth in 2026 can be achieved is a question mark.
