SPCX AT $140: IS THE ROAD TO $150 OPENING AGAIN?
SPCX is now trading around $140, and the technical picture is becoming much more interesting. The key question is no longer whether the stock can simply hold above its IPO price. The bigger question is whether $140 can now become a platform for another push toward $150.
SpaceX priced its IPO at $135, opened at $150, and reached approximately $176.52 during its first trading session. These levels remain extremely important because they represent major psychological and technical reference points.
At the current price of $140, SPCX is approximately 3.70% above its $135 IPO price. The move from $140 to $145 requires only around 3.57%, while reaching $150 would require approximately 7.14%. That makes $150 a realistic recovery target, especially considering the significant volatility SPCX has already experienced since listing.
My view remains cautiously bullish while the price stays above $135.
THE TECHNICAL STRUCTURE
The most important development is that SPCX has returned to $140. This level now becomes the first battlefield between buyers and sellers. If buyers can maintain control above $140, the next targets are clear:
$145 → $150 → $155 → $160 → $170
A move from $140 to $150 represents approximately 7.14%. Reaching $160 would represent around 14.29%, while $170 would mean approximately 21.43%. The previous session high near $176.52 remains a larger upside resistance zone.
However, I would not treat these targets as guaranteed. SPCX has already demonstrated major swings, with reports of post-IPO trading ranging roughly between $104.83 and $225.64. High volatility creates opportunity, but it also increases risk.
KEY RESISTANCE
The first resistance is now $145. If SPCX breaks and holds above that level, $150 becomes the major target.
Why is $150 so important?
It was the original opening price and remains one of the strongest psychological levels on the chart. A sustained move above $150 could significantly improve short-term momentum and potentially open the path toward $155, $160 and eventually $170.
KEY SUPPORT
$140 is now the immediate level to watch. Below that, $135 remains the most important support because it was the IPO price.
If $135 fails decisively, my bullish outlook becomes weaker. The next downside levels would be:
$130 → $125 → $120
The $120 area is another major psychological level, while the deeper $105–$110 zone remains an important historical reference.
TRADING APPROACH
I would still avoid entering the entire position at one price. My preferred strategy would be to divide the position into stages.
The aggressive bullish setup is a confirmed hold above $140.
The safer momentum setup is a break above $145.
The strongest bullish confirmation would be a sustained move above $150 with strong buying volume.
Potential upside targets are:
TP1: $145
TP2: $150
TP3: $160
For risk management, traders could consider technical example levels around $134.50 for a tight setup, $129.50 for a wider swing setup, and $119.50 for a larger structural risk level.
FINAL THOUGHTS
SPCX at $140 looks stronger than it did at $137.50 because the stock has now reclaimed an important psychological level. My preferred bullish route is:
$140 support → $145 → $150
If $150 breaks and becomes support, I would become significantly more positive, with $160 and $170 becoming the next major targets.
My overall view: CAUTIOUSLY BULLISH ABOVE $135, IMPROVING ABOVE $140, AND STRONGLY BULLISH IF $150 IS RECLAIMED WITH VOLUME.
The next battle is now very clear: can buyers defend $140 and push SPCX through $145 toward the critical $150 level?
