$XAU USD H1 Analysis 📊

Gold is currently stuck in a choppy range between 4620 and 4668.

Price is making lower highs, but sellers still haven’t secured a clean break below 4620.

🔻 Below 4620 with confirmation → bearish continuation
🔼 Above 4668 with confirmation → bullish continuation
⚠️ Between these levels → expect more chop and liquidity grabs.

This challenge is boring if you only look at H1; it only becomes meaningful when viewed alongside the US Dollar Index and US Treasury yields. Don’t just focus on the yellow square—the key is still the currency market’s tone.

Churning back and forth between 4620 and 4668—don't rush to get in.

I actually think this is building up momentum while waiting for the bulldozer. There have been continuous buy orders in the area below 4620 since Monday; once the 4668 level overhead is taken out on heavy volume, the market will most likely accelerate sharply. Watch for wicks.

I didn’t dare short before 4620 broke either, but it’s hard to say whether 4668 above can really hold. It could end up sweeping back and forth again, so I’m mainly staying on the sidelines.

Consistently lower highs usually indicate weakening bullish momentum, but the price simply can’t break through 4620, which only shows that buying support below is also strong. Before a true breakout, it’s all about patience—don’t gamble on the market with leverage.

If the second retest of 4620 is still caught with a lower wick, it will most likely continue to grind; once a solid four-hour candle closes below it, the bears’ performance will only just be beginning, with the initial target around 4550.
