$BMT is showing the kind of positioning that can create a serious squeeze.

Funding has dropped to -0.39%, while the L/S ratio remains at 0.74, meaning shorts are still dominating and paying a heavy cost to stay in the trade.
Meanwhile, BMT is up more than 20% in 24H, with OI rising 42.6%. That tells me shorts aren't closing aggressively — new leverage is still entering.
The bigger signal is positioning: top traders are sitting around 1.63 L/S, while taker flow is above 1. Buyers are clearly more aggressive.
If price keeps pushing higher while funding stays negative and OI remains elevated, those shorts could become the fuel for the next move.
This is one I’m watching closely.

A -0.39% funding rate can still rise 20%; shorts are fueling longs, while OI is up another 42%—feels like it’s about to explode.

L/S 0.74, there are still so many shorts; cautiously bullish.

Short positions account for such a high share, yet the price keeps rising—a typical short squeeze setup. The key is that the funding rate is still negative, indicating that new shorts are still entering. As long as longs continue applying pressure, these shorts’ stop-loss orders will help push the price even higher. I’m keeping a close eye on it.

The short funding rate is negative, yet shorts are still stubbornly holding on. This move is interesting.
