₿ Bitcoin Slides Below $79K as Intraday Structure Weakens

Bitcoin (BTC) is the largest decentralized cryptocurrency and remains the primary benchmark for the broader crypto market.
BTC is trading near $78,676, slightly below the previous close around $78,986.
The session initially pushed toward the $80,800–$80,900 region but failed to maintain those higher levels.
From there, the chart formed a sequence of lower recovery attempts, gradually pulling price back below $80,000.
Another decline took BTC through the $79,400–$79,200 region, showing that sellers remained active on rebounds.
Price has now slipped under the previous-close level and is testing the session’s lower area around $78,600–$78,800.
Despite today’s weakness, the screenshot still shows BTC up roughly 22% over one week and one month, creating a clear contrast between strong broader performance and current intraday pressure.
⚡ Short-Term: $78,600–$78,800 → $79,000–$79,400
📈 Mid-Term: Hold/reclaim $79,400 → $79,800–$80,200
🚀 Long-Term: Regain $80,200 → $80,600–$80,900
🌐 Overall Market: BTC currently shows short-term weakness inside a much stronger broader advance. The immediate signal stays cautious while price is below $79K; recovering $79,400 would improve the structure, while losing $78,600 could extend the pullback.#BTCBreaks$81k #CandyDrop1BTCForOldUsers #StakeALIGNShare10MTokens #TopFiveLeaguesPreMatchPredictor #GateStockInsightsChallenge $BTC

It looks like a normal breather during the uptrend. After rising more than 20% in a week, a pullback to 79K is actually healthy. Those with no positions can enter in batches.

79K is a crucial level. It should be fine if it reclaims it; if it falls below 78.6, we may be looking at around 77. In any case, I’m not touching my spot holdings.

The overall trend is still upward, with only short-term weakness. But don’t hold onto futures positions—set your stop-loss first and wait until it firmly reclaims 79.4.

Falling below $79K indicates clear short-term weakness, but the weekly gain is still 22%, so it’s hard to say whether this is a pullback or a shakeout.
