#GateLaunchesJapaneseStockTrading Gate has taken a decisive step toward becoming a true one-stop global asset platform by launching Japanese stock trading. Users can now buy and sell approximately three hundred stocks listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange directly with USDT, without opening a traditional Japanese brokerage account or converting funds into yen. The service is live on the Gate web platform, with the mobile app version expected to follow shortly.

This is not a minor addition. It represents the first major crypto-native exchange to offer seamless access to Tokyo-listed equities in this format. The initial selection prioritizes highly liquid, large-capitalization names that form the backbone of the Japanese economy. Flagship stocks include Toyota Motor, Sony Group, SoftBank Group, Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group, Nintendo, and Tokyo Electron. These companies span automotive manufacturing, consumer electronics and entertainment, investment and telecommunications, banking, and semiconductor equipment, giving users immediate exposure to some of Japan’s most globally recognized corporate brands.

Trading operates during standard Tokyo Stock Exchange hours: nine o’clock to eleven thirty and twelve thirty to fifteen twenty-five Japan time. Prices, position values, and profit and loss are displayed in Japanese yen, while all funding, settlements, and fees are handled in USDT under Gate’s existing rules. The Japanese stocks share the same unified stock account infrastructure already used for United States, Hong Kong, and Korean equities. Users can view real-time market data, place and manage orders, monitor holdings, and review transaction history within a single interface.

The broader context matters. Gate already supports more than ten thousand United States stocks and ETFs, over one thousand five hundred Hong Kong stocks, and more than one thousand Korean stocks. Adding roughly three hundred Japanese names brings the total equity and ETF universe above twelve thousand eight hundred assets. This expansion reflects a clear strategic direction: remove the traditional barriers that separate digital-asset traders from mainstream equities and allow capital to move freely across asset classes inside one ecosystem.

Japan’s equity market itself has become more attractive in recent years. Corporate governance reforms have pushed companies to improve capital efficiency, share buybacks have reached record levels, and many exporters continue to benefit from currency dynamics. For crypto-native users who already hold significant USDT balances, the ability to allocate into Toyota, Sony, or Tokyo Electron without leaving the platform removes friction that previously required multiple accounts, currency conversions, and complex compliance processes.

I see this launch as more than a product update. It is a practical demonstration of how digital-asset platforms can integrate traditional finance without forcing users into outdated workflows. The combination of crypto settlement rails and direct access to major equity markets creates new possibilities for portfolio construction, hedging, and cross-asset strategies that were previously available only to institutional or multi-broker clients.

Gate has also paired the launch with a limited-time campaign that rewards early participants with shares of Sony, Nintendo, and Toyota under specific trading and holding conditions. While promotional incentives are temporary, the underlying infrastructure is permanent. Users who value simplicity, unified account management, and direct exposure to Japanese blue-chip stocks now have a viable new venue.

The addition of Japanese equities strengthens Gate’s position as a multi-asset platform rather than a pure cryptocurrency exchange. By continuing to expand into core global markets with liquid, high-quality names, the platform is steadily closing the gap between digital assets and traditional finance. For traders and investors who want both worlds inside one account, this is a meaningful and practical advance.
