$SNDK is down 9%. Opportunity or warning?

My answer:
Potential opportunity — but I wouldn't rush to buy the dip.

SanDisk has become one of the biggest beneficiaries of the AI infrastructure boom through its storage business. But the recent selloff shows that investors aren't only questioning the company.

They're questioning how much AI-driven growth is already priced into memory and storage stocks.

That's an important distinction.

The memory sector has been extremely volatile lately, with SNDK, Micron and other semiconductor names selling off together.

And with NVIDIA earnings approaching, the entire AI trade is about to receive another major test.

Here's how I'm looking at SNDK:

🟢 Bull case:
AI data centers need enormous amounts of storage, and sustained infrastructure spending could keep demand for high-performance storage strong.

🔴 Risk case:
The stock has already experienced extraordinary gains, so expectations are high. Even strong results may not be enough if guidance or margins disappoint.

That's why I don't see today's drop as an automatic "buy the dip" signal.

I'd rather see whether the stock can stabilize and whether the broader memory sector confirms the move.

My stance: cautiously bullish on the long-term story, patient on the entry.

The biggest mistake here would be confusing a cheaper price with a cheap valuation.

So I'm watching two things:
$SNDK's ability to stabilize + NVIDIA's ability to keep the AI narrative alive.

If both improve, this pullback could eventually look very different.
What do you think?

📈 Opportunity — the fundamentals remain strong.

📉 Risk — the AI/memory trade is getting too crowded.

You could call it an opportunity, but don’t mistake a price drop for a bargain. SNDK rose too much earlier; the AI storage thesis hasn’t changed, but the market has begun to suspect that expectations are fully priced in. The key now isn’t to chase a rebound, but to see whether it can stabilize near the gap and whether NVIDIA can continue to support the AI narrative; only once both are confirmed will this pullback become an opportunity.

A 9% drop is definitely alarming, but the storage sector is inherently volatile. I’m more concerned about whether NVIDIA’s earnings will drag down overall AI sentiment. Let’s wait until things stabilize.

I’m not in a rush to catch a falling knife; let’s see whether it can stabilize first.
