# SNDK Is Under Pressure Again — Dip-Buying Opportunity or Warning Sign?

SanDisk ($SNDK) is back under heavy selling pressure. The stock is trading around $1,493, down roughly 6.5%, with today’s range near $1,418–$1,534.

For a stock that has already experienced extreme volatility this year, this is a critical area.

The key question for me is not simply:

“Has SNDK fallen enough to buy?”

It is:

“Can buyers defend the $1,400–$1,450 support zone?”

The recent weakness is also not isolated. SNDK dropped around 9% on August 18, while other memory names such as Micron and Western Digital also faced selling pressure.

That suggests the market may be reassessing the broader AI memory and storage trade, rather than simply losing confidence in SNDK.

However, I’m not ready to abandon the long-term story.

AI data centers continue to require massive amounts of storage, enterprise SSDs and memory infrastructure. If AI infrastructure spending remains strong and enterprise storage demand continues expanding, SanDisk could still benefit significantly.

The bigger issue is valuation.

At these levels, the market is already pricing in substantial future growth. That means SNDK needs more than good results — it needs continued strong execution to justify those expectations.

📊 Key Levels I’m Watching

$1,400–$1,450 → Key Support / Watch Zone

If SNDK stabilizes here and begins forming higher lows, that would be the first sign that selling pressure is fading.

$1,500–$1,535 → Recovery Confirmation

A strong reclaim of $1,535, especially with increasing volume, would improve the short-term structure.

$1,600–$1,650 → Major Resistance

A decisive breakout above this zone could signal that buyers are taking control again.

$1,750–$1,800 → First Major Upside Target

If the AI-storage sector regains momentum, this becomes an important area to watch.

$2,000 → High-Momentum Target

I would only consider this scenario if the broader memory sector, market sentiment and capital flows all turn strongly bullish.

⚠️ Risk Zone: $1,300–$1,350

A decisive breakdown below this area, especially alongside weakness across semiconductors, would make me step aside and wait for a fresh base rather than continuously averaging down.

💰 My Trading Plan

I would not enter the entire position at once.

First watch zone: $1,420–$1,480
Confirmation zone: $1,500–$1,535
Strong breakout: Above $1,600 with volume

Potential targets:

🎯 $1,650
🎯 $1,750–$1,800
🎯 $2,000

If momentum returns, I would prefer taking partial profits along the way instead of waiting for one perfect exit.

🔥 My Outlook

Short term: Cautious/Bearish — while SNDK remains below the $1,535–$1,600 recovery zone.

Medium term: Cautiously Bullish — if $1,400 holds and the stock begins forming higher lows.

Long term: Bullish on AI Storage — but valuation and memory-cycle risks cannot be ignored.

This correction does not automatically mean the AI-storage thesis is broken.

Sometimes a correction is simply a repricing within a larger trend. The bigger warning comes when important support breaks and the market structure starts changing.

So I’m not chasing the drop, and I’m not panic-selling because of one large red candle.

I want the market to prove itself.

👉 Can buyers defend $1,400–$1,450?
👉 Can SNDK reclaim $1,535?
👉 Can it break $1,600 with strong volume?

If buyers return, SNDK could remain one of the more interesting high-risk/high-reward AI-storage plays on my watchlist.

My strategy: wait for confirmation, scale in carefully, manage risk, and let price action prove the next direction.

If momentum returns, my upside path is:

$1,650 → $1,800 → $2,000

For me, this is not about catching the exact bottom.

It’s about finding the point where risk/reward becomes attractive and buyers are clearly back in control.
