$GLD is showing some strength 👀

GLD is currently trading around $426.71, up 0.77% on the session. The chart shows a steady short-term climb, with price moving from around $425.20 toward the $427 area before pulling back slightly.

A few things stand out:

• Current price: $426.71
• Session high: $429.42
• Session low: $424.20
• 52-week high: $509.70
• After-hours: $429.10

The interesting part is that buyers managed to push price higher, but the area around $427–$429 is now worth watching closely.

If momentum continues, a clean move above that zone could signal further strength. On the other hand, rejection could bring another short-term pullback.

For me, the bigger takeaway is simple: don’t judge a move from one green candle. Watch the levels, momentum, and how price reacts around resistance.

Every time I see this kind of “showing strength,” I’m reminded of the days I got trapped chasing the highs. Remember, resistance levels aren’t meant to be broken—they’re meant to harvest traders.

From 416 to 429, short-term funds are indeed entering. But don’t forget the broader environment: until the dollar and U.S. Treasury yields come down, it will be difficult for gold to develop a sustained trend. I define this move as a rebound after bottoming, not a reversal. Watch 427 closely; it only counts as valid if it stays above that level for three days. Otherwise, it’s just a bull trap.

Some people see the rise and say the bull market is back, but it hasn’t even recovered half of the 52-week high. 427–429 is a heavily trapped zone, and break-even selling could come crashing down at any time. If you want to participate, wait for a pullback to 425 and consider it only if that level holds—or simply let this wave pass; there will be plenty of opportunities.

Going long at this level is likely to get punished; wait until it stabilizes before deciding.

Buy the rumor, sell the news? We still need to stay calm around here.

Gold’s rebound is strong, but don’t forget it was still above 500 a few weeks ago. This is merely an oversold recovery, not a reversal.
