⚽ Roma vs Fiorentina — My Pre-Match Prediction
This is probably the most interesting matchup of the three for me. Roma are starting a new Serie A campaign with high expectations, while Fiorentina have also made changes and will be looking to prove themselves from the opening round.
My prediction: Roma 2-1 Fiorentina.
I’m giving Roma the edge mainly because they have home advantage and, in my view, a slightly clearer structure going into this match. The attacking combination around Paulo Dybala could be especially important, while Roma should also be motivated to make a strong start in front of their home crowd.
That said, I don’t expect Fiorentina to simply sit back. They have enough attacking quality to create problems, so I can see them finding the net. For me, the deciding factor could be Roma’s ability to manage the game in the second half and make better use of their chances.
My call: Roma win 2-1.
