I think Chelsea can win this one, but honestly, I don’t expect an easy game.

Chelsea are starting a new Premier League season under Xabi Alonso, and this will be his first competitive league match with the team. They also have some really exciting attacking players like Cole Palmer, Joao Pedro and Morgan Rogers. Palmer is the player I’m watching most closely because he can create something out of nothing.

Fulham are playing at Craven Cottage, so they will have the home advantage. They also have some interesting new players, and I think they can make things difficult for Chelsea.

Still, looking at the squad quality and Chelsea’s attacking options, I’m slightly backing Chelsea here. I can see Palmer or Joao Pedro getting on the scoresheet.

My prediction: Fulham 1-2 Chelsea.

What do you guys think? Can Fulham surprise Chelsea at home?

Win on their away debut? I’m a little skeptical. Fulham will definitely sit deep and counterattack.

Palmer can indeed decide the game with one strike, but I always feel Fulham are not easy to beat at home.

Pretty much as you thought: Chelsea are definitely stronger on paper, but with the new manager’s first league match away at Fulham, chemistry will be a major issue. I think a draw is also possible.

I also think Chelsea can win, but it won’t be easy. Alonso has just taken over, and the tactical integration is still incomplete. Fulham have always been tough at home, and their new signings are no pushovers either. Palmer and João Pedro certainly have the ability to produce moments of brilliance, but if the defense loses concentration, Fulham could easily snatch a goal. A 1-2 scoreline seems reasonable, but I lean more toward 2-1, with Chelsea winning a close one.
