Copy trading becomes more interesting when we look at how a trader handles both good and bad market conditions. A strategy may work well when the market is moving in one direction, but the real test comes when the market suddenly changes.

I think seeing how a trader adjusts their decisions, controls their positions and stays with their plan can tell us a lot about their trading style.

For me, the learning part is just as interesting as the trade itself. #CopyTradingDiary #GateSquare #CopyTrading

If you only look at one-way markets, everyone is a genius; what really sets people apart is how they survive during range-bound markets and reversals. Managing your position size and sticking to discipline matter more than catching a few explosive rallies.

Many people only show off their gains and dare not show their drawdowns. The strategies that can withstand adverse market conditions are what constitute real experience.

Only a sudden market shift reveals real skill—this is what matters most when copy-trading.

To assess a trader, don’t just look at how much they earn; look at whether they stick to their plan and remain composed when they lose.

Rather than blindly copying trades, I prefer observing how he manages his positions, when he cuts them and when he adds to them. That’s far more meaningful than trade calls.
