🚨 $BTC IS ON TRACK TO MAKE HISTORY

Bitcoin is currently up around 22% in August.

If it closes green, this could be the first positive August for BTC in a US midterm election year.

This cycle keeps breaking the script.

I remember seeing statistics before that Bitcoin almost always declines in August during U.S. midterm election years. If it really closes higher this year, it would truly be a historic exception. That said, a 22% monthly gain in itself shows that capital is positioning ahead of the market in this cycle, perhaps pricing in some policy expectations.

History is meant to be broken. This bull market is clearly moving to a different rhythm—hold on tight and don’t get off!

With prices rising this much, I’m actually a little nervous. When has history ever not seen hype first, followed by a sell-off? Watch your stop-loss.

Whenever I see a headline about “breaking historical records,” I first take a step back. There have been quite a few similar moments in history, but only a few truly changed the landscape. August’s 22% gain is certainly strong, but if it falls back again in September and October, then this “historic” move will have been nothing more than a rebound within a big bearish candle. Of course, judging by my positioning, I’m leaning bullish—I just hope it doesn’t make me eat my words.

To be honest, I’m a bit numb by now—BTC has a new story every month. But the “first bullish August in a midterm election year” label sounds pretty intimidating; let’s wait for the close to confirm before saying more. If it really closes green, institutional funds may enter earlier than everyone expects, and the moves afterward will be more violent.

If it really closes green, then the August pattern of the past five midterm election years is invalidated, which itself is more noteworthy than a 22% rise.

If this candle really closes green, the bears will have to line up to jump off a building.

In midterm election years, capital usually seeks safety, but crypto rose against the trend this time, possibly due to expectations of dollar liquidity.

This data is pretty interesting—August in a midterm election year is actually going to close in the green. Looks like the market really doesn’t play by the usual rules.

22% in August? That's wild.
