#BTCBreaks77000
The 4‑hour chart is beginning to show the real signs of digestion. BTC pushed through 77,000 climbed high as the upper 79,000s and is now trading near 76,179 after a modest pullback. The short moving average has risen to 77,306 so BTC is currently sitting beneath it. The 50‑period average remains much lower at 68,670. Bollinger Bands have expanded, with the band near 80,798 and the lower near 69,872. RSI has cooled from its extremes and now reads 68. Volume is still elevated compared with the period before the rally but it has begun to moderate. MACD remains positive yet the histogram is no longer expanding.
The five‑day advance of than 20 % and the fact that Gate’s BTC spot volume ranked second globally during the move both confirm that participation was real. The question has simply shifted from "can it break 77k" to "how does BTC behave that the first wave of momentum is cooling." Bullish continuation would require BTC to reclaim the moving average and hold the 76,500–77,000 zone as support. If that happens the upper band near 80,800 remains a next reference. The earlier volume strength increases the chance that buyers will defend the breakout area than abandon it. Pullback scenario gains weight if the short average continues to act as resistance and BTC slips toward the mid‑Bollinger region around 75,300. A deeper move would then target the rising 50‑period average. After a 20 % run some form of mean reversion is statistically common once RSI leaves the extreme zone.
I am treating the break of 77,000 as valid. The volume ranking, as evidence of genuine interest. At the time the 4‑hour is no longer stretched to the same degree, which opens the door for a more balanced two‑way market. The next sessions will show whether 77,000 is accepted or whether the market needs time to digest the five‑day surge. Did you stay with the position through this pullback. Did the loss of the short moving average change your stance?
