Why Is Bitcoin Rising After the Treasury Buyback Move?

The U.S. Treasury increased certain long-term buyback operations to at least $4B per operation, drawing attention from crypto markets.
This isn’t QE or YCC. The bigger impact may be the signal: improved Treasury-market liquidity and initially lower long-term yields created a more supportive backdrop for risk assets.
Bitcoin’s move was also amplified by short liquidations and strong market demand.
The key now is whether BTC can hold these higher levels after the initial momentum fades.
The headline is Bitcoin’s rally. The deeper story is liquidity, yields and positioning.

Don’t just focus on BTC’s rise; pay attention to the underlying logic of U.S. Treasury liquidity. If long-term yields rebound later, this rally may just be a pulse.

What does the Treasury Department buying bonds have to do with Bitcoin? In plain English, long-term interest rates have fallen, risk assets are enjoying favorable conditions, but nobody knows how long it will last.

This rally is actually quite typical: news sparked it, short covering added fuel, and the key is whether real money continues to buy.

Regardless of whether it is QE, the market will treat it as bullish first; improved liquidity is always good for risk assets anyway.
