If a rapid rally counts as weakness, then what does a slow grind down count as? The key is to distinguish between liquidity-driven and demand-driven moves. In crypto, 90% of market action is driven by the former, so judging strength based on short-term price trends can easily backfire.

I think price volatility reflects market strength. It may not necessarily be inversely related, but it at least shows there are enough participants. The key is whether there is follow-through after this move; a single large bullish candle alone doesn’t prove much.

Ultimately, market strength is not about the slope of the candlestick chart, but whether real money continues to flow in. Short-term volatility is too easily deceptive, and sentiment and positioning alone can create a false frenzy.

Many people see a sharp rally and immediately call it a bull market comeback, but sometimes it is simply driven by short covering and leveraged traders. It can complete in a few hours a move that takes others weeks, only to resume a slow decline afterward.
