#Gate首发上线日股交易 Gate launches Japanese stock trading, creating a one-stop global asset trading platform

GATE Japanese stock trading officially goes live
Gate has officially launched Japanese stock trading services, initially listing approximately 300 stocks listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE), further expanding its global stock market asset coverage. Japanese stock trading is now available on Gate Web, with the app version to launch soon. Users do not need to open a traditional Japanese brokerage account separately or exchange currencies into Japanese yen themselves, and can use USDT directly on the Gate platform to trade Japanese stocks.
The approximately 300 Japanese stocks launched this time are all listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE), covering markets including the Prime Market. The selection focuses on representative stocks with relatively large market capitalizations, strong liquidity, and high market attention, including Toyota Motor (7203.P), Sony Group (6758.P), SoftBank Group
(9984.P), Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (8306.P), Nintendo (7974.P), Tokyo Electron (8035.P), and other popular assets. Going forward, the platform will continue expanding its Japanese stock asset coverage based on market demand and continuously enrich its supply of high-quality assets.
In terms of trading functions, Japanese stocks share the same stock account and related trading capabilities as Gate’s existing US, Hong Kong, and Korean stocks. Users can complete market data viewing, buying, selling, closing positions, order modification, order cancellation, position management, and transaction history inquiries under the same account system. Japanese stocks support intraday trading from 09:00-11:30 and 12:30-15:25 Japan time (08:00-10:30 and 11:30-14:25, UTC+8). New orders are not supported during the midday break or after market close. Japanese stock prices, position values, and profit and loss are displayed in JPY, while trading funds and fees are settled in USDT according to the platform’s rules.
From the perspective of its overall stock business, Gate is continuously strengthening access to major global stock markets. A unified trading infrastructure has been established, forming a 7x24-hour trading service system connecting the US, Hong Kong, Korean, and Japanese stock markets. The system supports more than 10,000 US stocks and ETFs, over 1,500 Hong Kong stocks, over 1,000 Korean stocks, and approximately 300 Japanese stocks, covering more than 12,800 stocks and ETFs globally in total. In addition, Gate pioneered zero-commission US stock trading and supports fractional-share trading starting from as little as 0.01 shares, stock dividends, cross-broker transfers of US and Hong Kong stocks, and corporate actions such as stock splits and reverse splits, optimizing the stock investment experience.
On this basis, Gate has built a product matrix covering different investment stages and asset types, including Pre-IPOs, direct IPOs, and gStocks tokenized stocks, providing users with diversified ways to participate, from pre-listing investment and public offerings to tokenized asset trading.
The launch of Japanese stocks not only enriches Gate’s global stock asset coverage but also demonstrates the platform’s ability to connect traditional finance with digital assets and build a multi-asset trading system. Leveraging its mature digital asset infrastructure, Gate will incorporate more stocks, ETFs, IPOs, and tokenized assets into a unified trading ecosystem, lowering the barriers to cross-market asset allocation for users.
Going forward, Gate will accelerate its expansion into core global markets and high-quality assets, deepen the integration of traditional finance and digital assets, and build a one-stop multi-asset platform covering more markets, assets, and investment scenarios, providing global users with richer and more efficient asset allocation options.$TM
