Rayo Vallecano vs Alavés: My Prediction ⚽
I’m expecting Rayo Vallecano to have a slight advantage in this match, especially because they are playing at home. My prediction is Rayo Vallecano 2-1 Alavés.
Rayo lost 2-1 to Sevilla in their opening match, but their performance was not bad and Álvaro García managed to score. Alavés, on the other hand, started the season strongly with a 3-0 win against Getafe. Mariano Díaz was one of the standout players with a goal and two assists.
For Rayo, Álvaro García, Isi Palazón and Jorge de Frutos could be important in attack, while Florian Lejeune will have a key role in defence. For Alavés, Mariano Díaz looks like the biggest threat after his excellent first-match performance.
Rayo also have a good recent head-to-head record against Alavés. I expect a competitive game, but Rayo’s home advantage could make the difference.
