Unitree's IPO Signals Strong Confidence in China's High-Tech Future

According to Xinhua commentary, Unitree's successful listing represents much more than a corporate fundraising event—it casts a significant vote of confidence in China's high-tech future and the broader robotics industry . Unitree, based in Hangzhou, is a global sales leader in humanoid and quadruped robots. In 2025, it shipped over 5,500 humanoid robots—roughly a third of the global total—ranking first worldwide . The company's revenue in 2025 reached 1.7 billion yuan ($250 million), with nearly 45% coming from overseas markets and full-year net profit around 600 million yuan . Unitree has secured backing from major investors including Alibaba, Tencent, Ant Group, and DeepSeek . The listing coincided with the opening of the 2026 World Robot Conference in Beijing, where Unitree's founder Wang Xingxing is scheduled to speak about the future of the humanoid robot industry .

Twenty years ago, we were chasing overseas technology. Now, Unitree’s humanoid robot shipments rank first globally, showing that China’s high-tech sector is no longer a follower, but a definer. This confidence is more valuable than the IPO itself.
