A-shares are getting a new way to trade through contracts, and this makes the game much more interesting. Gate’s stock-contract lineup is expanding the ways traders can express both bullish and bearish views.

If I could choose only one, I’d pick Hygon Information (HYGON). The semiconductor/AI theme gives it stronger growth potential than the more defensive names, but also means higher volatility.

Kweichow Moutai (MOUTAI) is the classic quality/consumer play. Its brand strength and premium positioning make it attractive for a long-term bullish thesis, although valuation and consumer demand still matter.

China Shenhua (01088) is more of a cash-flow and dividend story. Energy prices, coal demand and dividend expectations are the key drivers, making it interesting when the market favors value.

China Yangtze Power (YANGTZE) stands out for defensive characteristics. Hydropower assets provide relatively stable cash flow, so I’d see it as a lower-beta bullish choice rather than an aggressive momentum trade.

Midea Group (MIDEA) combines consumer appliances with manufacturing and overseas expansion. The thesis is more about earnings quality, efficiency and global growth than pure speculation.

Hygon Information (HYGON) is the higher-growth, higher-risk choice. It sits in China’s domestic computing/semiconductor ecosystem, so sentiment around AI and local chip development could create large moves. Hygon is also a constituent of the KraneShares China A 50 ETF.

Interestingly, Yangtze Power, Moutai, Midea and Shenhua all appear among the top constituents of MSCI’s China A RMB High Dividend Yield Index, highlighting their stronger value/income characteristics.

My choice: HYGON — cautiously bullish. I’d rather trade with a defined-risk, low-leverage long bias than blindly chase a breakout.

For me, the key question isn’t simply “bull or bear?” It’s whether the price move is supported by fundamentals, liquidity and momentum.

Which one would you choose: $MOUTAI $01088 $YANGTZE $MIDEA or $HYGON ?
