SUI/USDT Analysis: Oversold or Further Decline?

Date: August 18, 2026, price ~ $0.6531.
Over the past 24 hours, the asset has lost 3.57%, trading near the daily low (0.6353). Let us examine objective indicator data and possible scenarios.

Current Market Picture

· The price is significantly below all moving averages (EMA5=0.6694, EMA10=0.6760, EMA20=0.6851, EMA60=0.7272, EMA200=1.0084).
· The gap between the current price and EMA200 is more than 54%—this indicates a deep correction or a prolonged downtrend.
· Bollinger Bands (20,2): upper 0.7024, middle 0.6823, lower 0.6622. The price is below the lower band (0.6531 < 0.6622), which is technically an extreme deviation.

Momentum and Overheating Indicators

MACD (12,26,9):

· MACD = -0.0005, DEA = -0.0016. The histogram is negative, but the difference between the lines is minimal (DEA is above MACD). This indicates fading bearish momentum, but without a clear bullish crossover.

KDJ (9,3,3):

· K = 28.0, D = 34.2, J = 15.8. All three lines are below 50, while J is in the extreme oversold zone (below 20). Such readings usually precede a bounce, but require confirmation.

RSI:

· RSI(6) = 24.97—classic oversold territory (below 30).
· RSI(12) = 33.82, RSI(24) = 39.33—also low, but not as extreme.
The gap between short- and long-term RSI indicates a sharp decline in recent days, but the medium-term trend remains weak.

OBV (30):

· OBV = 229,230,268 (approximately), its MACD = 238,036,441. Volume-balance indicators are positive, but their dynamics are unclear due to the lack of historical data. Nevertheless, OBV above zero indicates that selling volume is not completely overwhelming buyers.

Key Levels

· Nearest resistance: 0.6622 (lower Bollinger Band) and 0.6694 (EMA5). To return to the normal range, the price needs to close above 0.6622.
· Strong resistance: 0.6823 (middle band) and 0.6851 (EMA20).
· Support: daily low at 0.6353 and the psychological level of 0.6300.

Possible Scenarios

Short-term (4–12 hours):
Oversold RSI(6) and the extremely low J in KDJ create conditions for a technical bounce. Potential bounce targets could be 0.6622–0.6694. However, sustained growth requires rising volume and a breakout above EMA5.

Medium-term (one week):
To reverse the trend, the price must overcome EMA20 (0.6851) and EMA60 (0.7272). For now, all longer-term averages are pointing downward, maintaining a bearish bias. MACD has not given a bullish signal—DEA is still above MACD.

Long-term (one month+):
The 1.0084 level (EMA200) is too far away. A shift in the global trend will require either prolonged consolidation or a powerful impulsive rise. Without fundamental changes, a return to $1.0 is unlikely in the coming weeks.

Conclusion

· SUI is in an extreme oversold zone, increasing the likelihood of a local bounce toward 0.66–0.67.
· However, all long-term indicators remain bearish: the price is below all EMAs, MACD is negative, and RSI(24) is below 40.
· The nearest target for buyers is a close above 0.6622, followed by 0.6823. If this does not happen within the next 1–2 days, a new daily low and a test of 0.6300 are likely.

Conclusion: The market is oversold, but the trend has not reversed. A bounce is possible, but it should be viewed as a correction within a downtrend rather than the beginning of a new bullish cycle. Confirmation of a reversal requires sustained consolidation above 0.6851 and MACD turning positive.
