$HYPE — 1H setup I’m watching
The part that caught my eye here is how quickly HYPE lost the 57.7 area after failing around 58.477.
Price is now 56.651, sitting below all three moving averages, and the short-term structure has started making lower highs. The 1H MACD has also rolled over, with the histogram negative and momentum clearly weaker than it was during the earlier push.
I’m leaning toward a short setup, but I don’t want to chase the current red candle.
Current price: 56.651
Resistance
- 57.175–57.324 — MA30/MA5/MA10 cluster
- 57.729 — visible horizontal resistance
- 58.477 — recent swing high / major liquidity above
Support
- 56.380 — 24H low
- 55.486 — visible chart support
- 55.160 — previous swing low
My trade idea
I’d be more interested in a bounce into 57.175–57.729 and a rejection there.
That zone is important because the moving averages are packed around 57.2, while 57.729 has already acted as a visible price area. If sellers defend that region again, I’d look for a move back toward 56.380 first.
My targets would be:
TP1: 56.380
TP2: 55.486
TP3: 55.160
For invalidation, I’d use 58.477. If price gets back above that previous swing high and holds, the bearish idea on this chart is no longer attractive to me.
Volume also matters here. The latest sell candle came with a noticeable volume increase, which makes the breakdown more interesting, but I’d still want confirmation on the retest rather than assuming the move has to continue.
Liquidity is sitting on both sides now. There’s obvious downside liquidity around 56.380, while the bigger upside pool is around the recent 58.477 high. That’s why I’m waiting for price to show its hand instead of entering just because the candle is red.
If HYPE reclaims 57.729 and starts holding above the MA cluster, I’d step back and reassess. No reason to fight the chart.
I’m keeping the position size controlled here. The setup makes sense to me only if resistance actually holds — otherwise, there’s no trade.
Risk reminder: This is my chart-based trading view, not financial advice. Crypto can move fast, so manage position size and only risk what you can afford to lose.
