$ETH VETERAN DEREK CHIANG JOINS ETHLABS – FOCUS ON LIGHT CLIENTS AND REAL-TIME PROOFS
$ETH development just got a major boost. Derek Chiang, founder of ZeroDev and former Offchain member, has joined Ethlabs to drive Ethereum technologies into practical commercial applications .
What he's working on: Chiang will focus on advancing optimistic rollups, light clients, fast finality, and real-time proofs into real-world products. He specifically highlighted that many underlying Ethereum technologies – such as multisig verification for L1 deposits in cross-chain bridges – remain underutilized .
His vision: Chiang wants Ethlabs to become the "go-to-market force" for Ethereum technology, convincing developers to adopt these tools through technical and product advantages rather than ideology .
