WHALE ALERT: $8.77M $ETH WITHDRAWN FROM 4 INSTITUTIONS, $142M BTC SENT TO WINTERMUTE
On-chain activity is heating up as large players make significant moves.
ETH whale: A single wallet withdrew 4,650 ETH worth approximately $8.77 million from four institutional platforms – Coinbase, FalconX, Galaxy Digital, and Cumberland – in just one hour .
BTC whale: Since June 25, an unidentified address has transferred a total of 2,300 BTC (worth $142 million) to Wintermute's recharge address, with the most recent transfer of 5,072 BTC occurring just 6 hours ago. The source of funds is Paxos, and ownership remains unconfirmed .
What this means: ETH withdrawals from institutions suggest accumulation, while BTC transfers to Wintermute – a major market maker – could indicate selling pressure or OTC deal execution.
