Former SEC attorney: a settlement with SEC is possible in Ripple case
Former SEC enforcement attorney Mark Fagel stated to the crypto community on January 6th that the government agency defined the case as both a partial victory and a defeat. He pointed out the need for coordination between the parties as Ripple and the SEC have appealed the respective parts they lost.
The case between Ripple $2.4 and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has become relevant again. The former SEC lawyer stated that the probability of an early settlement is high as the deadline for the first SEC filing approaches. After Judge Analiza Torres' decision, which confirms the previous ruling, it is claimed that the Trump administration and SEC Chairman Paul Atkins may refrain from appealing the XRP case.
