The most torturous part of the market action at the start is that it looks pretty strong, but in reality nobody is willing to take the bids every time it pumps. The price repeatedly surged and then fell back after approaching 0.4506. I didn’t change my judgment just because of a few green candles—I kept focusing on whether the bounce had staying power.
In the middle, there was a particularly scary spike; a lot of people probably got shaken out or chased the order directly. I was a little panicked too, but when I calmed down I found that the price never actually broke out into real strength—the support kept getting thinner, and the shorts were simply waiting for an opportunity to get a release.
Once the real dump finally showed up, the chart became much less complicated. The price dropped to around 0.2773, and this trade had already realized {$RAVE _MULTIPLE} times the upside. At that moment, it wasn’t excitement—it felt like relief, finally getting the answer. The grind from earlier hadn’t been in vain.
This move made me even more certain: in weak market conditions, the easiest thing to be fooled by is apparent strength. It’s not that you only reach conclusions after it starts falling—the quality of the earlier bounce already reveals the problem. The hardest part for a short position is never just making the call; it’s not getting carried away by the noise.
