Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and six other departments: launch the 2026 first batch of innovative industrial and information technology initiatives under the “bid and unveil” mechanism

Mars Finance News: On July 29, the General Offices of seven departments including the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) issued a notice on launching the 2026 “invitation to bid and compete for chief tasks” for innovation initiatives in the industrial and information technology fields. To speed up the deep integration of technological innovation and industrial innovation, and to promote high-quality industrial development through breakthroughs in key technologies, the 2026 first batch of industrial and information technology innovation tasks is now initiated. This round of “invitation to bid and compete for chief tasks” will cover six areas—future industries, equipment manufacturing, information technology, communications, artificial intelligence, and consumer goods—systematically planning 24 special topics.
