DeepChao TechFlow message, on July 29, the Mist Security team said that MistEye had discovered a recruitment scam targeting Web3 practitioners. The attackers posed as recruiters and lured victims into installing a malicious application disguised as an AI meeting tool called “Relay”.

This malware affects macOS and Windows users, mainly stealing sensitive data such as browser credentials, wallet-related information, keychain data, and Telegram sessions. Mist has completed analysis of the sample and disclosed how the attack chain is constructed.

The security team reminds people to stay cautious when installing software during remote interviews or recruitment processes, avoid running unverified applications, and watch for abnormal installation requests or system password prompts.
