Geopolitical risk flares again, energy makes a strong comeback; the storage sector proves its AI logic hasn’t changed with a V-shaped reversal
The U.S.-Iran ceasefire deal broke down again, causing risk-off sentiment to surge quickly. International oil prices jumped sharply, and energy stocks once again became the focus of capital chasing. Meanwhile, the three major U.S. stock indexes showed clear divergence: the Dow held up relatively and resisted the decline, while technology growth sectors faced pressure during the trading session. What’s worth noting, however, is that after intense volatility, the storage sector completed a sharp and impressive V-shaped reversal and became one of the market’s most eye-catching directions again. Geopolitics drives short-term capital toward energy assets, while the AI industry chain continues to attract long-term capital allocation.
The turnaround in the storage sector is not accidental; it’s a repricing of capital driven by fundamentals. As demand for AI servers, high-bandwidth storage, and enterprise-class SSDs keeps rising, the prices of products such as HBM and DDR5 remain strong. The market continues to be optimistic about profitability over the next few quarters. Short-term sentiment may affect stock prices, but it can’t change the industry’s business-cycle momentum.
From the perspective of fund flows, many institutions choose to add at lower levels when there’s a sharp intraday pullback, rather than chasing oil and gas stocks. This suggests the market has gradually formed a consensus: energy gains are event-driven, while AI storage is driven by industry fundamentals—there are clear differences in persistence between the two.
In the future, if the situation in the Middle East continues to escalate, oil prices may still remain volatile at high levels. But as long as global AI investment doesn’t slow down, the storage industry is still expected to be one of the most resilient directions within tech. Short-term volatility actually provides a new entry window for long-term investors. #VIP专享4%年化理财
