Xingge on Crypto|ETH added at 1,880 yesterday, took profit near 1,930 after the rebound
Yesterday, ETH quickly dropped from around 1,980.
Many people’s first reaction was:
“Since it fell, keep shorting.”
But my judgment at the time was different.
Although on the larger timeframe there is indeed pressure around 1,980, and the pullback is a normal move.
But for short-term trading, you can’t look at only one direction.
When ETH fell to around 1,880 yesterday, I thought it was already close to a short-term support zone, so it was worth considering going long at a low level.
At the time, many people also didn’t understand:
“If you’re bearish, why dare to go long?”
It’s actually simple.
Being bearish is about the bigger direction.
Going long is about the short-term position.
These two don’t conflict.
Yesterday during the day, ETH kept ranging at low levels, and market sentiment was cautious.
Then the price dipped to as low as around 1,855, without further expanding the downside—instead, it bounced back quickly.
After that, it rebounded to as high as around 1,928.
From going long around 1,880 to taking profit near 1,930, this short-term move’s upside potential was basically realized.
Friends who followed the idea yesterday should have caught this run.
What about you?
Many people make an issue when trading:
When the market goes up, they’re afraid of chasing.
When the market drops, they can’t help but chase the short.
In the end, they often only act on the direction they think after the price has already moved for a while.
But what truly matters in trading is:
Not reacting after you see it rise or fall.
But judging in advance:
What level is worth waiting for,
and what level is worth trading.
After ETH’s big drop yesterday, I didn’t choose to keep chasing the short.
Not because I couldn’t see the risks.
But because the price had reached a level worth paying attention to on the short term.
The market is always changing.
Long near 1,880 yesterday,
and today, after the rebound to the higher range, observe the pressure again.
You can judge the direction, but the timing must adjust with the market.
This is also a skill that many traders need to build slowly.
It’s not hard to read the trend.
What’s hard is finding the trading entry that fits you inside the trend. $ETH #SK海力士财报不佳盘后下跌
