This trade almost didn’t go through before. After shorting around 0.4506, there were several consecutive pullbacks that were really annoying. Only when the market pushed down to 0.2762 did the profit record +948.54% appear, and that’s when I finally breathed a sigh of relief—the original judgment was finally validated by the price action.

That middle stretch was especially grinding. The short didn’t roll over immediately; instead, it kept getting poked higher. If you lose patience even a bit, it’s easy to get shaken out. At the time, I didn’t change direction just because of a few rebounds. What I focused on was that every time it spiked higher, there was a lack of sustained bid/acceptance, and the key levels were gradually moving down.

Once the selling pressure was truly released, the downward move accelerated clearly. Those earlier rallies that looked strong ultimately turned into actions that created room for the shorts. Many people only think about chasing after the dump, but by then the trading rhythm isn’t in the most comfortable zone anymore.

What made me reflect this time was that getting the direction right is just the beginning. Whether you can endure the boredom and doubt is what determines how much of the move you can actually capture. As long as the short thesis isn’t broken, if you have a little less itch to act and a little more patience, the outcome is often different.
