Deep Tide TechFlow news: On July 29, Vietnam’s Ministry of Public Security proposed in a draft of the “Electronic Identity Recognition and Authentication Law” to expand the scope of entities covered by electronic identity recognition. In addition to individuals, institutions, and organizations, it would also cover non-physical objects such as data resources, applications, software, digital services, property rights, intellectual property rights, and digital assets, while also including physical assets such as goods and devices. The draft also specifies mechanisms for suspending, restoring, and revoking electronic identities. The move is intended to meet the needs of the development of the digital economy and digital society, improve traceability in cyberspace, strengthen accountability attribution, and enhance cross-domain data interoperability.
