This short position could actually be profitable—what matters isn’t seeing the sell-off and then chasing, but rather when price keeps failing to push through repeatedly at high levels, that’s when I start paying attention to shifts in buy-side support. An opportunity showed up around 2111.63, and I got on board following the long-bias idea; honestly, I was also a bit uneasy, because the previous few fake breakouts were pretty frustrating.

What really made me confident enough to hold was this: after the spike and pullback, the rebound kept getting weaker, and the buying didn’t keep following through. Instead, there was continuous sell pressure. There was a quick pin/wick in the middle that almost shook me out, but I didn’t mess with my judgment just because of a single fast pullback.

Later, the market ran all the way to 1916.32, and the result of this trade is already reflected by +1609.73%. Honestly, once the short-side thesis played out, all the waiting beforehand was worth it. This also makes me even more certain: when prices are under pressure at high levels, what I fear most isn’t slow movement—it’s being scared off by short-term volatility and getting shaken out.
