When the screen is filled with green candles, it’s most likely that people rush to bottom-fish—and it’s also most likely that someone forgets how to close their short positions. When the price dumped intraday, I first checked how strongly $BILL retraced; I found that the rebound stayed weak all along. After it fell, the support didn’t quickly come back, and the shorts hadn’t exited.
Earlier, BILL surged around 0.14088 with relatively low trading volume. The price looked like it was being pushed up, but in reality nobody was willing to keep taking orders. At the time, I advised waiting for the sell pressure to dissipate, and executed the plan to open longs—what I was waiting for was the payout after the price faced pressure at the high.
Now the price has reached 0.02402, and the unrealized profit shows +1633.55%; the answer is already laid out on the chart. First, close 80% to lock in results. Set cost protection for the remaining 80%; if it continues to dip, it allows the profit to extend. If it bounces back, it won’t give back the space already secured.
Risk control done upfront is called rationality. Cutting losses after you’ve already lost is called a brave severing of the arm. Chasing after a drop is also dangerous—if you didn’t get in, don’t rush to top up. The market doesn’t lack opportunities; what it lacks is patience.
