Mars Finance news: On July 28, according to official information, Base Build announced the launch of Base Verify Onchain to address sybil attacks in blockchain ecosystems. The feature has been deployed on the Base Sepolia testnet, allowing developers to implement a “one real user, one claim” rule in smart contracts. Base Build says that traditional airdrop mechanisms are easily controlled by bulk wallets; large rewards are often taken by professional airdrop farmers, while users who truly participate in product building only receive limited returns. Base Verify Onchain helps projects identify multiple wallets controlled by the same user by generating a stable identity hash for each real user, without needing to obtain privacy data such as users’ names or account information. Users can complete verification through existing accounts such as Coinbase, Instagram, X, and TikTok, after which the system returns verified identity credentials to the smart contract, enabling the contract to automatically enforce claim limits, voting limits, or quota controls and other rules. Currently, Base Verify has been used more than 300k times and serves partner projects including Base App, Cody, Scratch, and Bracket. Base Build says Verify Onchain will provide decentralized applications with fairer airdrops, token issuance, governance voting, and user incentive mechanisms. Developers can use this technology to restrict the number of times a single real user can claim, allocate rewards based on real identity, or convert real-world signals into on-chain reputation—thereby reducing the impact of bots and multi-wallet control on fairness for Web3 applications.
