Nansen CEO: AI trading agents may surpass human traders within two years
Deep Tide TechFlow update: On July 28, according to The Block, Nansen’s CEO Alex Svanevik said that AI trading agents are expected to outperform human traders within the next two years. To this end, Nansen is expanding its platform from on-chain data analytics to direct trading execution, aiming to enable “full on-chain asset trading through agents.” He noted that the platform has already launched the relevant trading features, with cumulative trading volume exceeding $500 million.
Svanevik believes that AI agents have greater diversity and adaptability than human traders, but they also face the risk that input data may be polluted or manipulated. At present, Nansen is still testing the related products through backtesting and simulated trading, and has not yet deployed significant capital in real-money environments. He also revealed that among the 15 most active perpetual contracts traded on the Nansen platform, around 10 are non-crypto assets, including the S&P 500, gold, silver, and crude oil, among others.
