I found today that some copy-trading buddies increase their own leverage—this is a bad habit. Copy traders must not change the leverage themselves. If you change it, you won’t be in sync with mine; my position risk management is fine. I understand you want to make money, but you need to respect the market—if there’s a deep drawdown, you’ll get liquidated. Also, getting stuck in the contract/derivatives market is normal. Don’t be afraid—I have the ability to do T in my position management, which can effectively help resolve being stuck. If you’ve been copying for a long time, you should know this well. I’ve seen some buddies, the moment they get stuck, just stop-loss and exit—there’s no point in copy trading with that kind of operation; you’d be better off trading on your own. Once again: copy traders, don’t change your settings casually. If you modify them yourself, you’re responsible for the consequences!

Respect the market—don’t act recklessly. The consequences are on you, not just a scare tactic.

I just started copy-trading too, and I still went ahead and changed the leverage once impulsively. Turns out the market moved even a little and I got liquidated right away. After that, I followed the strategy properly. No matter how big the drawdown is now, it’s fine—the risk control from the trader is genuinely solid. Everyone, don’t take the long way around.

Copy-trading charts are hassle-free. If you start messing with the settings on your own, you’d be better off doing it yourself—if you get stuck, just tough it out. Everyone knows the blogger’s ability to do T.

If you change the leverage, do you still call it copy trading? If the data doesn’t line up, you’re the one who has to take the blow-up risk—why do it then?

I completely agree—don’t change the leverage yourself; it will harm both others and yourself.
