The most correct thing recently is to not do any trades that you don’t understand.

For example, this “light” of US stocks—held yourself back, and didn’t bottom-fish to go long.
If you can’t understand it, there’s no bottom-fishing logic or basis.
You just bottom-fish when you subjectively think the price has dropped enough.
Now you should be like everyone else: you only want a rebound, sell, and never play again.
But after adding leverage—once you’re trapped, it’s not up to you whether it liquidates first or you rebound to unwind the position.
Technically, the reference meaning isn’t that great. The biggest logic behind the volatility in US stocks is:
the company and sector fundamentals, combined with market sentiment.
How much it’s dropping now is somewhat like panic clearing leverage.
If it doesn’t forcefully clear leverage, it likely won’t stop falling.
If there’s a strong positive earnings report—like a shot of confidence medicine—maybe it can temporarily stop the decline.
