I just wanted to take a look at the order book, but that glance immediately wiped out my drowsiness. After $DOT softened from the high, the short-seller rhythm is even more decisive than I expected.

A few days ago, in the afternoon, I watched DOT. I found that every rebound felt like it was being tested, but the volume still couldn’t keep up. Once the price pushed up, it got pushed back down. The lack of follow-through was obvious. Back then, I wasn’t thrown off by any fake moves. After it confirmed the pullback, I executed a long near 1.223.

Now the current price has fallen to 0.755. This round’s short position has realized a gain of +2721.02%. The bulk is first put into the pocket: I close 80%, and leave the remaining 20% in the market. At the same time, the protection level is moved to around the cost basis. If it continues to sell off further, I’ll keep holding; if a rebound happens, I won’t allow the profits to turn into regret.

Don’t grind away your patience in a range and then still want to claw back dignity in a trend move.
Just getting the direction right is only the start—only when you can pull the position size back is it truly complete.

It’s not the time to rush now, especially don’t chase at the tail end just because you see a pullback. Wait for the next shot to appear and then act. The market isn’t short of opportunities—it’s short of patience.
