Deep Tide TechFlow message: On July 28, according to a Bloomberg report, Visa is cutting about 2,600 positions, or roughly 7% of its total workforce. In an employee memo, the company’s CEO Ryan McInerney said the move is intended to improve operational efficiency in order to keep up with intensifying competition in the payments industry. The layoffs are expected to primarily affect the technology and product teams.
